IMPORTANT NOTE: ON HOW TO SAVE AND RELOAD TURNS:
Remember
The Client (Planets4.exe) remembers what you tell it to do in any session. You can exit and re-enter a game at any time, picking up where you left off; it is not Real Time. The Client is basically just making a list of your commands so it is safe to simply close (exit) VGAP at any point, even by just clicking on the top right "X" and jumping straight out of the program; you don't need to specifically tell it to Save Your Work So Far.

From the Files menu screen, you can Make a *.TRN" file, ie player01.trn, player02.trn etc. This compiles all commands into a list which Host will understand. You can make several TRN files at different points in your turn and send them to the Host; it will automatically use the most recent one. This can be useful if you've got to send in a preliminary turn because you're not sure you'll get a full one in by the Wednesday Night deadline, for example.

The Host will run a turn and create a RESULTS (RST) file for each player, ie player01.rst, which is emailed back to you (or in this demo, is just on your hard disk, no need to worry where yet). An RST file is actually a zipped-up file which needs decompressing (unpacking) before you can play.

One thing NOT to do is use the "Unpack RST file" button on the FILES page, if you've already done it for that player and that turn. That wipes the commands you've done so far. You can tell if a file's already been "unpacked" because the FILES page will show a PLAY SAVED FILE button as well as an UNPACK RST FILE option

This is really important if you want to avoid coronaries!! Really.
